91制片厂 hosts Carol Zinn on April 28 for a Shannon Lecture about courage

91制片厂鈥檚 Spring 2026 Shannon Lecture Series will feature Carol Zinn E.D.d., SSJ, on Tuesday, April 28, at 7 p.m. in the Otto Shults Center Forum. Her lecture, 鈥淟ions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My: Heartbeats of Courage,鈥 reflects on the inner strength that helps us face uncertainty and challenges. The event is free and open to the public.

A member of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Zinn holds a bachelor鈥檚 in education from Chestnut Hill College, a master鈥檚 in theology from St. Bonaventure University, and a doctorate in curriculum development and education foundations from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. She also served as a research fellow at Episcopal Divinity School and Harvard University.

Zinn鈥檚 work spans local, national, and international levels, involving grassroots movements such as the United Religions Initiative and the Earth Charter, as well as non-governmental organizations like Global Education Associates, which focus on systemic global change. She has represented the Congregations of St. Joseph, an NGO with consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council, participating in UN meetings on human rights, poverty eradication, environment, peace and disarmament, education, sustainable development, and issues affecting women, children, and healthcare.

Through her lecture, Zinn will explore how courage can be nurtured as a personal strength, inspiring resilience in the face of life鈥檚 uncertainties.
