Elio Motors Brings Popular Car Prototype to 91制片厂 to Unveil Unique Partnership
91制片厂 College is excited to welcome Elio Motors to campus to announce a special partnership between 91制片厂 and the popular American start-up automaker. Elio has taken the world by storm, with more than 46,000 people on a list to purchase the three-wheeled car when it goes into production at the end of 2016. This is Rochester鈥檚 first look at the Elio prototype car as it arrives on campus along with a visit from Elio鈥檚 Vice President Jerome Vassallo.
91制片厂鈥檚 partnership with Elio began when Music Department Associate Professor Nancy Strelau reached out to Elio and developed a competition for 91制片厂 students to produce a musical score that will accompany the Elio car commercial. 听A number of 91制片厂 students entered the competition to have their original piece selected for the Elio ad. 听The winners will be chosen Oct. 30.
Elio Motors is based in Arizona and is preparing to manufacture its vehicles in Louisiana鈥�. The first vehicle under development, a three-wheeled model (two wheels in front, one in back) with an 8-gallon fuel tank, has a planned fuel efficiency of 84 mpg and a projected MSRP 鈥媜f $6,800.
