It's time to celebrate the holiday season, and the 91制片厂 College Arts Center presents a series of festive events guaranteed to warm your heart and brighten your spirits!

The world of the beloved "Peanuts" comics comes to life in听A Charlie Brown Christmas, a musical based on the classic animated special, presented by the 91制片厂 College Theatre and Dance Department in Studio A48 from听November 22-24. Directed by Isabella Bertoni and choreographed by Abigail Hazlett with musical direction by Corinne Aquilina, the musical has become an annual holiday tradition for the Theatre and Dance department, with partial proceeds benefiting the Golisano Children's Hospital.听Limited tickets remain!

Looking for something festive to do with the family the Saturday after Thanksgiving? Get ready to dance with听Angelina Ballerina The Very Merry Holiday Musical, presented by professional touring company Vital Theater, on听Saturday, November 30 at 2 p.m.听in Callahan Theater.听Based on characters from the bestselling book series,听Angelina Ballerina The Very Merry Holiday Musical听follows the dancing mouse Angelina, along with her mouse friends Alice, Gracie, AZ, Marco, and Angelina's little sister, Polly. By working together, the friends discover the true spirit of the season is not about things you receive, but the holiday cheer you share!

Celebrate a 1940's era Christmas with听It's a Wonderful Life: Live from WVL Radio Theatre, on听Saturday, December 7 at 8 p.m.听in Callahan Theater. Presented by Immediate Theatre Project, a professional touring theatre company, this wildly funny play within a (radio!) play follows a radio station's skeleton crew as they attempt to present听It's a Wonderful Life听live on-air in the midst of a Christmas Eve blizzard. A four-member company masterfully conquers multiple characters and sound effects as the story of George Bailey and Bedford Falls unfolds. The down on his luck Bailey considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve until an angel arrives to remind him how much he is loved. More than 60 years later, the story's message remains as fresh and relevant as ever, and it's the perfect antidote to holiday cynicism!

Take a trip down memory lane with听The Marvelous Wonderettes, a musical based on all-female singing groups from the 1950s and 60s, presented by the 91制片厂 College Theatre and Dance Department in Studio Theater A48 from听December 6-8. Directed by Vinny Capluzzi, senior musical theatre major and choreographed by Cassidy Halpin, senior musical theatre major, with musical direction by Corinne Aquilina. Featuring more than 30 pop songs from that era, this smash off-Broadway hit takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! The second act reunites the girls 10 years later, where they learn that no matter what life throws their way, they will conquer it together.

Partial proceeds to benefit Golisano Children's Hospital
The 91制片厂 College School of Music will present a free program of festive music at the听Rose Marie and John Beston Annual Holiday PRISM Concert听on听Sunday, December 8 at 3 p.m. in Beston Hall in the Jane and Laurence Glazer Music Performance Center. Following a traditional prism concert format, 91制片厂's large and small ensembles will be set up throughout Beston Hall, performing various works one right after the other and without missing a beat. The concert will feature the Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Singers, Brass Ensemble, a saxophone ensemble, a woodwind ensemble, a violin quartet, a guitar quartet, and a jazz combo.

A Rochester New Year's Eve tradition continues with听The Capitol Steps, a Washington D.C.-based comedy troupe that began as a group of U.S. Senate staffers, returning to the Arts Center to present a show based on their 2019 album听The Lyin' Kings听on听Tuesday, December 31 at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.听in Callahan Theater. Featuring new parody songs with titles like听Tweet It, It's My Party (and I'll Lie if I Want To), and听Modern Major Liberal, this adamantly bipartisan comedy troupe takes the latest headlines and turns them into an uproarious evening of satire!
