Christopher Gold joined the 91制片厂 College faculty in 2007 and has taught courses in聽both the undergraduate and graduate music therapy programs. In addition to teaching,聽Mr. Gold is currently the Music Therapy Department Chairperson at Monroe 2 BOCES,聽where he has been practicing as a music therapist since 2000. Mr. Gold specializes in聽working with developmentally disabled populations in the public school setting. Mr.聽Gold has also worked with adult and child psychiatric and geriatric populations.聽Throughout his time at 91制片厂, Mr. Gold has supervised both graduate and聽undergraduate music therapy students during their practicum and internship聽experiences.
Mr. Gold is a frequent presenter at the American Music Therapy National and Mid-Atlantic Regional conferences. He co-authored a music therapy assessment manual,聽The Music Therapy Special Education Assessment Scale or MT-SEAS, which is used in聽conjunction with the SEMTAP (Special Education Music Therapy Assessment Process)聽throughout the country.
A pianist, guitarist, and singer, Mr. Gold completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from the聽University of Rochester. Mr. Gold obtained his Master of Arts degree in music therapy聽from Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he was elected to the Alpha Eta Society,聽an organization devoted to scholarship in the allied health professions.
