91制片厂 the project

The听Frank DiMino Casa Italiana aims to preserve the oral history听and traditions of the Italian-American Community of Rochester. Our goal is to document and preserve traditions handed down through the generations as well as digitize historical files for ease of access for both the community and the university. This project has been moving forward since fall 2022, a collaboration of 91制片厂's听Frank DiMino Casa Italiana听and the听Center for Public History听(CPH) and led by the CPH director, Dr. Timothy Kneeland, and the Casa Italiana director, Dr. Jo毛lle Carota. This effort started in 2015 as a pilot project.

Here is our Italian & history major Rheanna Barney, who is creating an archive of听听historical records as part of the Oral History Project that we are conducting in collaboration with the Center for Public History at Naz. Our oral history interns Ashley Jenkins, Kate Paulus, Rheanna Barney, Jordyn Bagley, and Adriano Siesto presented this poster at 91制片厂's Creative Activity and Research Showcase (CARS) in April 2024, showcasing their research on the history, customs, and language of the Italian American community in Rochester, NY.
